PC coil formers are winding bodies for pot core or shell core geometries. They are used in power applications, resonant coils and low-stray-field inductors where stability, quality and low magnetic stray fields are important.
Pot core geometries are nearly closed magnetic structures. This helps reduce stray fields and supports favorable electromagnetic compatibility in sensitive electronic applications.
Depending on the variant, NORWE uses PET rtg natural with RTI +155°C, PC pk3 with RTI +115°C and PA66 p6g natural with RTI +125°C. Special materials such as radiation cross-linked versions are available on request.
Terminal carriers provide defined solder pin connections and wire guidance for pot core assemblies. They support efficient winding and connection of wire ends directly to the intended solder pins.
Half-height PC coil formers are especially suitable for proximity switch construction and compact magnetic designs based on pot core geometries.
Insulating covers mechanically protect the pot core and electrically insulate the assembly. They can snap into the system and support automated mounting on terminal carriers and printed circuit boards.
