Horizontal versions are designed for low-profile or horizontal PCB assembly, while vertical versions are designed for upright mounting concepts. The correct version depends on available board space, winding requirements and assembly concept.
Extended creepage distance variants increase the insulation distance between conductive parts such as solder pins and ferrite cores. This supports applications with higher insulation requirements.
