1956
Industrial Origins
The NORWE industrial heritage begins in Lüdenscheid with the founding of a sole proprietorship by Ing. Norbert Weiner and the production of small electrical appliances. This is a historical heritage milestone, not a statement of legal identity with NORWE ONE GmbH.
1961
Thermoplastic Coil Formers
Production of the first standard thermoplastic coil formers using modular tooling establishes a product principle that remains characteristic of the NORWE programme.
1964
Bergneustadt
The historical company relocates its headquarters to Bergneustadt.
1971
Protection-Class Coil Formers
Production starts for the first protection-class coil formers.
1976
Training
Training for plastics processing specialists is introduced, strengthening in-house manufacturing expertise.
1978
Family Company
The sole proprietorship is converted into a family-owned GmbH under the management of Gritta and Norbert Weiner.
1988
International Manufacturing
Manufacturing of NORWE components begins in Tunisia and expansion work is carried out at the main site.

Historical UL 746D certification strengthens traceability and international product documentation.

3D CAD
Article drawings are created in a 3D CAD system, expanding the digital engineering workflow.

Anniversary Year
The historical NORWE organisation marks 10 years in the USA and 50 years of NORWE industrial heritage in Germany.

Environmental Management
An environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001 is established; management transitions to Marlene Weiner and René Weiner.

Export & 50 Years of Coil Formers
Historical AEO certification is granted for export and the organisation marks 50 years of coil-former production.

LDS Technology
Development and production of the first LDS coil formers expands the technology portfolio.

3D printing is introduced for prototypes and series applications, accompanied by a new responsive website.

Energy Efficiency & China Web Presence
Energy-efficiency measures continue, norwe.cn is launched and a 99 kWp photovoltaic system enters operation.

The historical organisation becomes active in the UN Global Compact, launches its first digital newsletter, expands the PQ range and renews quality and environmental certifications.

Heat-Pump Transition
The heating conversion to heat pumps is completed and process heat is additionally integrated into the heating system.

Additive Manufacturing & US Logistics
FDR technology expands detailed 3D printing, a new NORWE Inc. logistics centre opens in the USA, more energy-efficient injection-moulding machines are added and Skytra 5220 FR is introduced as a standard material for selected families.
2023
Quality, Energy & International Production
Historical ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 recertification is completed, charging infrastructure and a second photovoltaic system are added, full membership in the German UN Global Compact is recorded and a second contract-manufacturing operation starts in Poland.
2024
Process Digitalisation
A NORWE cloud solution supports process digitalisation, additional energy-efficient injection-moulding machines are introduced and 3D-printing equipment is improved for prototypes and small series.
2026
NORWE ONE GmbH
NORWE ONE GmbH takes over the business operations and essential assets of the former NORWE GmbH through an asset deal. NORWE ONE GmbH is the current operating company and is legally distinct from the former NORWE GmbH.
